Sometimes you click “About Me” to quickly learn who you’re reading about. Whole Heart is a Christ-centered ministry to homeschooling families. We were founded in 1991 and while we have grown and expanded our offerings over the years, we remain rooted in biblical values and continue to see our primary role as encouraging homeschooling moms and supporting homeschooling families.

Our name comes from Jeremiah 24: 7: “I will give them a heart to know that I am the Lord, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart.” Along with the fullness of scripture, we lean on David’s charge to Solomon in 1 Chronicles 28:9 as we shape our approach to community and education. “And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.”

As parents, leaders and board members, our hearts are to help our children to know our God and to serve him with their whole hearts and willing minds.

WHFM Mission Statement
We serve God with wholehearted devotion to equip and encourage Christian homeschooling families, strengthening them in their unique calling through Biblical community and academic opportunity.

WHFM Statement of Faith

In the interest of maintaining the spiritual unity of Whole Heart Family Ministries, we require all members of the group to give written agreement with the following statements:

Scripture: The Bible alone in its entirety—the Old and New Testaments—is God’s inspired Word.

God: God is the Creator of all things. He exists eternally in three persons— Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is God incarnate. He is fully God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit, and fully man, having been born of the virgin Mary. He is the only begotten Son of God.

Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is fully God. From the moment of conversion, He indwells and is at work in all who believe and are born again. He seals believers in Christ for eternal life.

Man: Man is born with a sinful nature, and so is separated from God, under the penalty of death, and unable to save himself.

The Death and Resurrection of Christ: Jesus Christ, who was without sin, voluntarily died on the cross, shedding His blood to pay the penalty for our sin. He was raised bodily from the dead on the third day, and ascended bodily to heaven.

Salvation: Salvation—the deliverance from sin and its penalty of death—is a free gift of God’s grace, available to all but affecting only those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and receive Him as their Savior. All who are saved are spiritually reborn with a new nature and given eternal life.

Christian Home: According to Biblical design, we believe marriage is between one man and one woman.
